Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Wow Flutter" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: a turntable service bench printout shown on a dark monitor. Clinical, precise and faintly glowing: one monospace face, a phosphor trace, a tolerance band and a boxed instrument readout.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Screen: #0A0A0A.
- Trace and readout numerals: #57E389 (phosphor green).
- Frame, zero line and readout borders: #2F6B45. Dotted gridlines: #17231B.
- Main text: #B9D8C3. Secondary text: #6E8B77.
- Callout: #F2C14E (amber), only for the peak marker and its label.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Victor Mono throughout: header 600 12px uppercase with 1.5px letter-spacing in green; unit line 11px with 0.8px letter-spacing in #6E8B77; title 600 25px #B9D8C3 stating the finding; subtitle 13px #6E8B77; readout labels 9.5px with 1.2px letter-spacing, readout values 600 19px green, units 9px; axis labels 11px; callout 600 12px and 11px amber.

Layout:
- 40px left margin. Two header lines at y 48 and 68, title at y 126, subtitle at y 152.
- A 290 x 60 px readout box at the top right, 1px #2F6B45, split into three equal cells (for example SPEED, WOW, FLUTTER) each with a small label, a large value and a unit.
- Plot from x 96 to 904, y 196 to 500, framed with a 1px #2F6B45 rectangle.
- Scanlines over the whole canvas: 1px black lines every 3px at 35% opacity.

Axes and grid:
- Dotted (2 on, 3 off) #17231B gridlines at each labeled tick in both directions; a solid 1px #2F6B45 zero line. Signed y labels ("+0.10", "0.00", "-0.10") right-aligned 12px left of the frame; x labels with units ("5s").
- A tolerance band from the lower to the upper limit filled with #57E389 at 7% opacity, labeled in small uppercase at its lower right corner.

Marks:
- Line chart: a 1.3px #57E389 trace with round joins and a glow (Gaussian blur 2.2px merged under the stroke). The peak gets a 5px amber ring and an elbow leader to a two-line amber label (value, then time).
- Bar chart: thin bars (about 40% of the band) in #57E389 at 85% opacity with the same glow, growing from the zero line (up or down for signed values); bars past tolerance get an amber outline and the largest one the amber callout.

Avoid: rounded or proportional fonts, colored fills besides the faint band, more than one accent color, heavy gridlines, and glows clipped at the frame.

When you're done, render the chart and check that the readout box does not collide with the title, the peak label is computed from the data, the excursion count in the title is true, and the scanlines stay subtle at thumbnail size.
