Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Season Form" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: the player page of a clean sports analytics site. A navy player card on the left, crisp white data panel on the right, one gold trend line that tells you how the season is going at a glance.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Page: #FFFFFF.
- Navy #0E2240: player card fill, title, dots and all emphasized ink.
- Gold #D39B1E: the trend (rolling average) line, the jersey number, the eyebrow, the card's top band and the end-value tag.
- Game gray #B7BDC7: the thin raw line joining individual values.
- Secondary text #667085; axis text in the same color; gridlines #E6E9EF; baseline #AEB5C1; body ink #1C2533.
- On the navy card: white #FFFFFF for figures and surname, #C9D3E3 for the first name, #9FB0CC for small labels, #23385C for divider rules.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Barlow for the page: eyebrow 12px 600 uppercase, 1.8px letter-spacing, gold; title 27px 700 navy, sentence case, stating the finding with numbers; subtitle 15px 400 #667085 naming measure, unit and window; legend 13px 600; axis ticks 13px 500; small uppercase notes 11px 600 with 1 to 1.4px letter-spacing; source 12px.
- Barlow Condensed for the card and stat figures: jersey number 700 at 132px with -2px letter-spacing in gold; first name 500 22px with 2px letter-spacing; surname 700 38px white; card stats 700 44px white, each with a 12px 600 uppercase label (1.4px letter-spacing) below; the end-value tag 700 18px.

Layout:
- Player card: x 32, y 32, 236 x 536, 12px radius, navy fill, with a 6px gold band across its rounded top edge. Inside, 24px padding: a small uppercase position and team line, the big jersey number, first name and surname, then three stats stacked 80px apart, each above a 1px #23385C rule (for example season average, team record, season high). Adapt the three stats to my data.
- Data panel starts at x 312: eyebrow at y 60, title at y 96, subtitle at y 122, a one-line legend at y 156, plot from about y 190 to 506 with x from 348 to 870.
- Footer: a 1px #E6E9EF rule at y 540 across the panel, source at the left and an uppercase summary note at the right, both at y 562.

Axes and grid:
- Horizontal gridlines only, 1px #E6E9EF, extending 14px past the plot on each side; a 1px #AEB5C1 baseline.
- Y tick labels right-aligned 22px left of the plot. X ticks sparse (first, then every 10) under the baseline; a small uppercase axis word ("GAME") left of the first tick in line with the y labels.
- A dashed 1px navy reference line (3 on, 4 off, 55% opacity) for the overall average, labeled in 11px 600 uppercase navy just above it at the left.

Marks:
- Line chart: raw values as a 1.5px #B7BDC7 straight line with a dot on every value; dots r 4 filled navy with a 1.2px white ring for one outcome (wins), r 3.4 white-filled with a 1.6px navy stroke for the other (losses). The smoothed or rolling series is a 3.5px gold monotone curve with round caps, drawn over an 8px white halo so it lifts off the gray line. End point: r 5.5 gold dot with a 2px white ring, then a gold 46 x 26 tag (4px radius) holding the last value in navy condensed. Label the season-best point with "29 PTS" style condensed 14px navy text 12px above it.
- Bar chart: slim navy bars (about 45% of the band, 3px top radius) for the individual values, wins solid navy and losses white with a 1.6px navy outline, with the rolling or target series drawn as the gold 3.5px line over them. Keep the same card and panel layout.

Avoid: team logos or colors other than navy and gold, drop shadows, gradients, heavy borders around the plot, vertical gridlines and more than one accent color.

When you're done, render the chart and check that the card stats and the title numbers are computed from the data, filled and hollow dots are distinguishable at small size, the gold line sits above the gray one with its white halo, and nothing in the card touches its edges.
