Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Webhook Deliveries" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: a live developer dashboard on a dark plum night theme. Glowing mint for the healthy flow, dashed pink for the trouble, and small backoff glyphs that make retry storms legible at a glance.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Page: #1A1025 (dark plum). Top bar and chips: #221633. Rules: #342447. Gridlines: #2A1D3B.
- Primary series (success, delivered): #5EEAD4 (mint), with an area fill from 22% to 0% opacity.
- Secondary series (failures, retries) and the live dot: #F472B6 (pink). Incident band: pink at 7% opacity.
- Text: #F3EEFA titles, #C9BCDD subtitle and chip text, #9383AB labels.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Plus Jakarta Sans for the product name (700, 14px), breadcrumb (500, 13px), tabs (13.5px; 700 active, 500 others), title (700, 26px, -0.5px letter-spacing, stating the finding), subtitle (400, 14.5px) and source (500, 12px).
- Geist Mono for the LIVE label (600, 11.5px, 1.4px letter-spacing), filter chips (500, 11px), legend (500, 12px), axis labels (400, 11px) and annotations (500 to 600, 11px).

Layout:
- A 56px top bar in #221633 with a 1px rule: outlined mint logo square, product name and breadcrumb at left, a pink live dot (r 4 inside a 9px 18% halo) and "LIVE" at right.
- A tab row (Overview active, with a 2.5px pink underline) over a 1px rule, and pill filter chips (24px tall, 12px radius) right-aligned on the same row.
- Title and subtitle below at x 32, then a legend row, then the plot from x 88 to 900, y 230 to 500.
- Footer rule at y 548 with the source at left and the retry schedule in mono at right.

Axes and grid:
- Horizontal gridlines in #2A1D3B, the zero line in #342447, y labels right-aligned in mono ("2k"). Hour labels every four hours below; first left-aligned, last right-aligned.
- Incidents: a pink band at 7% opacity with a dotted 2 3 left edge and a mono label ending just left of it.

Marks:
- Line chart: the delivered series is a 2px mint monotone curve with a soft glow (Gaussian blur 4, merged under the stroke) over its gradient area; the retried series is a 1.8px pink dashed line (5 3). Circle the peak failure point (r 4, plum fill, 2px pink ring) with a small #221633 tag outlined in pink holding "time · value". Label recoveries directly in mint with a short leader.
- Bar chart: delivered as mint bars (2px top radius, 30% gaps) with the glow, retries as narrower pink bars overlaid with a dashed pink top edge; same incident band and peak tag.
- Backoff glyph: four circles in a row at doubling spacing (centers 3, 8, 16, 32 px), radii 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, first filled pink and the rest outlined 1.3px, scaled 1.35x. Place one just under the baseline at the start of every failure storm and one in the legend.

Avoid: light backgrounds, rainbow palettes, glow on the dashed series, heavy borders, and unlabeled incident bands.

When you're done, render the chart and check that the glow isn't clipped, the peak tag sits clear of the recovery spike, the backoff glyphs don't touch the axis labels, and the title's peak matches the data.
