Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Validator Set" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: a dark on-chain ledger table. Charcoal green, pale mint type, ranked rows with tiny pixel identicons, and bars that brighten from forest green to lime as they grow.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Background: #0E1512 (charcoal green). Row separators: #1C2A24; header rule #2A3C33.
- Labels and names: #CFEBDD (pale mint). Title #EEF8F2. Secondary #7E9A8C. Faint #4F6559.
- Bar gradient in user space across the full axis width (so longer bars reach brighter): #1E8F5A at 0, #5FC45A at 55%, #C4EE5C at 100%.
- Threshold: #F2B544 (amber).
- Identicon pixel colors, one per row cycling: #7FD6A6, #E8C46A, #8FB8F0, #D98FC8, #A6E36B, #6FD3D6 on a #17231E square.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Onest: title 28px 600 with -0.4px letter-spacing stating the finding; subtitle 15px 400 #7E9A8C; names 14px 500 in mint; footer note 12px.
- Martian Mono: eyebrow 10.5px with 1px letter-spacing; column headers 9.5px uppercase with 1px letter-spacing in #4F6559; ranks "01" 11px; truncated addresses "fern1q7x...k4d2" 10px #7E9A8C; values 11px 500.

Layout:
- 48px margins; header block, then a table: rank, identicon, name, address, bar column (from x 372), and a right-aligned CUMULATIVE column at the right margin. Column header row with a 1px rule under it.
- Rows 28px tall separated by 1px #1C2A24 lines.

Axes and grid:
- No gridlines through the rows. A tiny axis under the table: 4px ticks and mono percent labels at 0, 4, 8 and 12%.

Marks:
- Bar chart: horizontal bars 14px tall with 3px rounded ends on the right only, starting at zero, filled with the gradient. Share label in mono just past the tip. Every row starts with a 16px identicon: a 5 x 5 grid of 3.2px pixels, mirrored left to right, seeded per row.
- Line chart: draw each series as a 2px line in the green-to-lime gradient with 5px square markers, direct-labeled at the right end in mint mono, with a 16px identicon before each label.
- Threshold: at the row where the cumulative share first passes one third, open a 26px gap and run a 1.4px amber dashed rule (6 4) across the full table, with a pill label (18px tall, radius 9, background fill, amber border, amber mono 9.5px) reading "1/3 OF STAKE: TOP 4 CAN HALT FINALITY". That row's cumulative value is amber; the others are secondary.

Avoid: a light background, rainbow bar colors, vertical gridlines, bars that don't start at zero, and real validator or company names.

When you're done, render the chart and check that the identicons are symmetric, the cumulative column adds up, the threshold sits at the first row that passes 33.3%, and nothing collides with the pill label.
