Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Vaccine Coverage" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: a small animal practice's preventive care dashboard. Pale mint surround, one white card, sturdy rounded teal bars on light tracks and a gentle amber nudge on the laggards. Practical, upbeat, action oriented.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Page: #EEF7F4 (pale mint). Card: #FFFFFF with a 1px #D9EBE5 border.
- Bars: #1F8A84 (clinic teal). Tracks to 100%: #D5EAE4.
- Reminder accent: #E0A030 (amber) for chip border and dot, chip fill #FBEBC8, chip text and below-target values #7A5208.
- Ink: #173B39 for title, labels and values. Secondary text #5E7773. Group rules #E4EFEB. Eyebrow text in teal.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Plus Jakarta Sans throughout. Eyebrow 12px 700 uppercase with 2.2px letter-spacing in teal; title 29px 800 with -0.4px letter-spacing stating the finding ("4 of 9 vaccines are below 70% coverage"); subtitle 15px 400 #5E7773 with measure, unit and date.
- Category labels 14.5px 600 ink; group headers 11px 700 uppercase, 1.8px letter-spacing, #5E7773; values 15px 800; chip text 11.5px 700; source and footnote 12 to 13px.

Layout:
- 48px text margin. Eyebrow, title and subtitle at the top; below them a white card (x 32, width 896, radius 16) holding the chart.
- Inside the card: category labels left-aligned at x 64, bars start at x 236 and run 520px for 100%, values 16px after the track end, reminder chips 64px after the track end.
- Group rows under small uppercase headers (for example DOGS, CATS) with a 1px rule running from the header to the track end.
- Footer below the card: an amber dot explaining the chip on the left, source on the right.

Axes and grid:
- No axes and no gridlines. The full-width track is the scale. A single dashed target rule (1.5px, ink at 55% opacity, 3 on 3 off) at the threshold, drawn over the bars, with a small #FBEBC8 pill label ("70% target", 11px 700 #7A5208) under the card's last row.

Marks:
- Bar chart: horizontal bars 20px tall, fully rounded (radius 10), 33px row pitch, drawn over a same-height rounded track to 100%. Values sit just past the track end; values below the threshold turn #7A5208 and get a chip: 92 x 22, radius 11, #FBEBC8 fill, 1px #E0A030 border, 4px amber dot, text "Remind".
- Line chart: a 3px teal line with white dots (r 5, 2.5px teal ring) over light #D5EAE4 horizontal bands; the dashed target rule runs horizontally, and points below it get an amber ring and a "Remind" chip beside the latest one.

Avoid: red alarm colors, gradients, shadows, gridlines, 3D, and chips on items that meet the target.

When you're done, render the chart and check that the count in the title matches the chips, the chips stay inside the card, every value is legible at the bar end, and the target line sits exactly at the threshold.
