Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Stat Leaders" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: the leaderboard screen of a league app. Dark charcoal, electric blue bars, the leader crowned in warm gold, and big condensed figures you can read from across the room.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Background #17191D charcoal. Primary text #F4F5F7; secondary text #8B909A; inactive tabs, ranks and scale labels #5F646E; rules #2A2D33.
- Electric blue #2F7BFF for every bar and jersey badge except the leader.
- Warm gold #F2B632 for the leader's bar, value, rank, avatar ring and badge, and the active tab underline.
- Track gray #3A3E46 for the full-length value tracks behind the bars. Avatar disc #262A31, silhouette #4E5460, avatar ring #2E323A.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Anton for big figures: title 38px uppercase with 0.6px letter-spacing, stating the finding; values 26px (the leader 32px); rank numbers 20px.
- Inter for names and codes: eyebrow 12px 600 uppercase with 1.8px letter-spacing; subtitle 15px #8B909A; tabs 14px (700 active, 600 inactive) with 1.4px letter-spacing; names 15px 600; team code and games line 11.5px 500 with 0.8px letter-spacing; badge numbers 9px 700; footnotes 12px.

Layout:
- 48px margins. Eyebrow y 56, title y 102, subtitle y 128.
- A tab row at y 168 (e.g. REB, AST, BLK, STL, 76px apart) over a 1px #2A2D33 rule; the active tab gets a 36 x 3 gold underline with 1.5px radius. A small "PER GAME" unit label at the right end of the row.
- Rows 43px apart from y 214: rank at x 56, a r 17 circular avatar with a head-and-shoulders silhouette clipped inside and a r 8.5 jersey number badge at its lower right (2px charcoal ring), then the name with "TEAM · GP" beneath at x 134.
- Bars from x 300 to 812. Scale labels 0, 5, 10, 15 under the last row, a 1px rule, then "Minimum 20 games played. Source: ..." at the left and an update note at the right.

Axes and grid:
- No axis lines or gridlines. The gray track shows the full scale; a small tick label row at the bottom gives the numbers.

Marks:
- Bar chart: horizontal ranked bars 8px tall with fully rounded ends, drawn over a full-length 8px #3A3E46 track. The value sits right after the bar end in Anton on a charcoal knockout rectangle that cuts the track, so the remaining track shows as a stub to its right. The leader's bar and value are gold, all others blue with white values.
- Line chart: one 3px blue line per leader over time with round caps and joins, the leader's line gold and drawn last, each ending in the same avatar and badge with the value in Anton at the line end; other lines at 70% opacity; the gray track becomes faint 1px #3A3E46 horizontal guides.

Avoid: team colors, photos, gradients, glows, bar labels inside bars, gridlines and more than one gold element per row.

When you're done, render the chart and check that ranks are sorted, the leader alone is gold, the knockout behind each value fully hides the track, the title's margin equals the gap between the top two values, and nothing overlaps the avatars.
