Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Pull List" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: the reports screen on a comic shop's point-of-sale register. Deep blue, crisp and functional, with flat primary colors and a little comic-shop energy from burst tags.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Screen: #0F1A2F (deep blue); header strip #15233D; rules #2A3B5C.
- Category colors, flat: #E63946 (red), #FFC93C (yellow), #3FC1E6 (cyan). Color bars by a real category (here genre), with a legend.
- Text and burst tags: #F4F1EA. Secondary text: #8A9BB8.
- A status chip in #1F3A2E with a #5BD68A dot and #9BE3B6 text.
- A barely visible scanline overlay: 1px white lines every 4px at 2.5% opacity.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Bebas Neue for the title (44px, 1px letter-spacing, stating the finding), the right-hand totals (24px) and NEW tags (14px).
- Chivo for the header strip (12px, 700 for the shop name, 1.2 to 2px letter-spacing), subtitle (15px #8A9BB8), legend (13px 700), row labels (15px 500), section headers (11.5px 700 uppercase, 2.4px letter-spacing, #8A9BB8) and footer (11 to 12px).

Layout:
- A 36px header strip across the top: small red square, shop name, breadcrumb, and a sync status chip at the right.
- 40px margins. Title, subtitle, legend, then the bar list. Row labels in a left column, bars from x 250 to 830, totals right-aligned at the right margin under a "SUBSCRIBERS" header.
- Group rows into sections with small uppercase section headers and a 1.5px #2A3B5C divider between groups.
- A bottom rule with the source at the left and fake key hints ("F2 PRINT F4 EXPORT") at the right.

Axes and grid:
- No gridlines and no x-axis labels; the totals column carries the values. A 1.2px #8A9BB8 zero line at the bar start.

Marks:
- Bar chart: horizontal bars 19px tall in 30px rows, flat category color, right end rounded 2px, square at the zero line. New items carry a 20-point starburst tag (#F4F1EA, about 46 x 34px, rotated -8 degrees) with "NEW" in #0F1A2F Bebas Neue, placed 30px past the bar end.
- Line chart: 3px lines in the same flat category colors with 5px dots, the latest value printed in Bebas Neue at the right margin, and the NEW burst marking where a new series starts.

Avoid: gradients, glows, 3D, rounded pill bars, and more than three category colors.

When you're done, render the chart and check that bars start at zero, burst tags never touch the totals column, and the section divider clearly separates the groups.
