Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Press Index" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: a club performance-analysis screen: near-black, squared technical type, one electric lime signal and a clear before/after story.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Background: #101214. Gridlines: #22262B.
- Main series and positive results: #B8F34A (lime). Benchmark line: #8A9099. Negative results: #F0605D. Neutral results: #5B626B.
- Primary text: #E9ECEF. Secondary text: #7C838C. Source: #5A6068.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Rajdhani throughout. Eyebrow 13px 700 uppercase with 2.4px letter-spacing in #7C838C, preceded by an 8px lime square; headline 36px 700; subtitle 17px 500; legend 13px 700 uppercase, 1px letter-spacing; axis labels 13 to 14px 600; the annotation box title 14px 700 uppercase with 1.4px letter-spacing; end value 20px 700 lime.

Layout:
- 56px margins. Eyebrow y 48, headline y 92, subtitle y 120, legend right side at y 151. Plot x 88 to 900, y 176 to 470. A form strip sits 16px under the plot, x labels 36px under it, and a before/after summary line under those.

Axes and grid:
- Horizontal 1px #22262B gridlines only, y labels right-aligned 12px left of the plot. No axis lines.

Marks:
- Line chart: the main series is a smoothed (monotone) 3px lime line with a soft glow (Gaussian blur 4 merged under the line, filter region set to the whole canvas). The benchmark is a 1.6px #8A9099 dashed line (5 on, 4 off). The gap is filled with a vertical lime gradient (34% to 8% opacity) only where the main line is above the benchmark (clip the fill to the region above the benchmark). The last point gets a r 5 lime dot with a 2px background ring and its value in 20px lime.
- Bar chart: slim lime bars (60% of the band, 2px top radius) for the main series with the benchmark as a dashed #8A9099 step line across them; bars below the benchmark switch to #5B626B.
- Event marker: a 1.2px #E9ECEF vertical line from the top of the plot through the form strip, with a boxed label (1px #E9ECEF stroke, background fill, 142 x 44) at the top-left of the line: uppercase title plus a 14px 500 secondary line.

Labels and annotation:
- Form strip: one 13px square per period with 2px radius, filled lime (W), #5B626B (D) or #F0605D (L), the letter in 10px 700 background color centered inside, and a "FORM" label to the left.
- Summary under the strip: left of the event line in #7C838C ("4 wins in 14 before"), right of it in lime ("19 wins in 24 after").

Avoid: rounded or friendly fonts, multiple bright colors on the main line, fills below the benchmark, clipped glows, and a boxed plot frame.

When you're done, render the chart and check that the fill appears only above the benchmark, the glow is not clipped, the event line sits exactly between the two periods and the headline percentage matches the before/after averages.
