Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Portfolio Wall" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: the portfolio review page of a venture fund's quarterly LP deck. Clean, even and scannable: a white wall of identical tiles, navy bars, one marigold highlight each, and a colored growth figure you can read across the room.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Canvas: #FFFFFF. Tile dividers and outer frame: 1px #D6E2F2 (pale blue hairlines).
- Bars: #1E3A6E (navy). The latest period in every tile: #F2A900 (marigold).
- Growth up: #1E8A4C (green). Growth down: #C8372D (red).
- Ink: #14203A for company names, value labels and baselines. Secondary text: #6B7589. Monogram circles: #1E3A6E with #FFFFFF initials.

Typography (Google Fonts): Plus Jakarta Sans throughout.
- Title 27px 800, -0.5px letter-spacing, ink, stating the finding across all tiles. Eyebrow 11.5px 700 uppercase with 2px letter-spacing in navy. Subtitle 14px 400 #6B7589 with measure, unit and period.
- Tile header: company name 14.5px 700 ink; growth figure 14px 700 in green or red, right-aligned, preceded by a small solid triangle (up or down) in the same color drawn as a shape.
- Latest value 12px 700 ink; first value 11px 500 #6B7589. Caption 12px ink; source 11.5px #6B7589.

Layout:
- 40px side margins. Header block, then the tile wall from about y 134 to 536, then one shared caption line with a 10px marigold swatch explaining the highlight, the scale and how growth is computed, then the source.
- A 3 x 3 grid (or whatever grid fits the series count) of equal tiles split by #D6E2F2 hairlines, no gaps, no card shadows.
- Each tile: a 13px-radius navy monogram circle at top left (one or two initials, 700 white), the name 21px to its right, the growth figure at top right, then a label row (first value at left, latest value at right) and the mini chart filling the rest with 20px inner padding.

Axes and grid:
- No y axes and no gridlines inside tiles. Each tile has its own scale starting at zero, and the shared caption says so. A 1px ink baseline under each mini chart. No x labels inside tiles; the caption names the period range.

Marks:
- Bar chart: navy bars about 62% of the band with 2px rounded top corners only; the final bar marigold. First and latest values labeled above the plot corners.
- Line chart: a 2px navy line with straight segments and a light navy area (#1E3A6E at 8% opacity) down to the zero baseline, the final point a 4px-radius marigold dot with a 1.5px white ring. Same header, labels and caption.

Avoid: a shared y scale that flattens small companies, legends, per-tile axes, heavy borders, drop shadows, more than one highlight color per tile, and red or green anywhere except the growth figures.

When you're done, render the chart and check that each growth figure and its arrow color match the data, the title's count is right, arrows never touch their numbers, and every tile's header, labels and bars align on the same grid.
