Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Pitch Deck" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: the traction slide of a startup fundraising deck. One huge number, one glowing line that bends upward, and almost nothing else. Dark, confident and minimal.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Background: a diagonal linear gradient from #07090F (near black, top left) to #0E1A3A (deep blue, bottom right).
- Hero series, headline multiple and logo square: #C6F432 (lime). Only one series is ever lime.
- Everything else (axis line, ticks, axis labels, secondary text, pill borders, any comparison series): #6B7896 (muted blue-gray). Pill text and leader lines: #AEB8CF. Primary text: #FFFFFF. Pill and marker fill: #0B1226.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Space Grotesk only, weights 400, 500 and 700.
- Headline multiple: 700, 148px, -6px letter-spacing, lime, top left ("14x").
- Caption under it: 500 20px white, one line stating what the multiple measures ("ARR growth since launch, from $0.3M to $4.2M"). Subtitle: 400 13px #6B7896 with measure, unit and period.
- Wordmark 700 17px white; slide marker 500 11px uppercase with 2px letter-spacing in #6B7896.
- Axis labels 500 13px #6B7896. Pill labels 500 12px. End value 700 26px white with a 500 12px #6B7896 caption beneath.

Layout:
- 56px margins. Wordmark with a 14px lime rounded square at the top left, slide marker ("TRACTION / 04") at the top right, both at baseline 51px.
- Headline multiple baseline 186px, caption 222px, subtitle 248px.
- Plot from x 70 to 812 and y 150 to 500, drawn underneath the headline block so the curve sweeps from the bottom left up to the top right, ending well clear of the big number.
- Footer at baseline 574: source at the left, "Confidential" at the right, both 11px #6B7896.

Axes and grid:
- No gridlines and no y-axis. A single 1px #6B7896 baseline at 55% opacity, extended 30px past the last point.
- Exactly four x labels (one per year), each with a 6px tick; the first is left-aligned to the start of the line.

Marks:
- Line chart: a 3.5px lime monotone-smoothed line with round caps and a soft glow (Gaussian blur, standard deviation 6, merged under the sharp line). A faint lime area below it (lime at 16% opacity fading to 0). The line ends in a glowing dot: a 16px-radius blurred lime halo at 55% opacity, a 7px solid lime dot and a 3px near-black center, with the latest value to its right.
- Milestones sit on the curve as 5px hollow markers (#0B1226 fill, 2px lime stroke) with a 1px leader up to a 24px-tall fully rounded pill (#0B1226 fill, 1px #6B7896 border) labeled "Seed", "Series A" and so on.
- Bar chart: slim 2px-radius bars in #6B7896 at 45% of the band, the latest (or hero) bar in lime with the same soft glow, the latest value in 700 26px white above it, milestone pills above the relevant bars, and the same four-label baseline and no gridlines.
- Any comparison series is a 1.5px #6B7896 line without glow.

Effects:
- Glow filters must use userSpaceOnUse regions covering the whole canvas so they are never clipped.

Avoid: gridlines, legends, more than one bright color, dense tick labels, drop shadows, 3D, and anything that competes with the headline multiple.

When you're done, render the chart and check that the headline multiple equals the last value divided by the first, the glow is not clipped, the end label stays inside the slide, and the pills do not touch the line or each other.
