Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Origin Label" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: the front label of a specialty coffee bag, lifted onto a table. Warm, graphic and modern: one big rounded label on oat paper, a solid terracotta top block, a wide display sans and generous flat color.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Background: #EFE8DA (pale oat). Label card: #FBF8F1 with a flat offset shadow of #D9CFBC at 70% opacity, 5px down.
- Top block and first accent: #C4622D (terracotta). Category colors, in order: #1F6F6B (deep teal), #C4622D (terracotta), #D8A31A (mustard).
- Ink: #2B211B. Secondary text: #7D6F62. Row dividers: #E2D8C6.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Syne throughout. Blend or chart name in the top block: 800, 36px, uppercase, 1px letter-spacing, #FBF8F1. Top block kicker and right-hand note: 600/700, 13px uppercase, 3px letter-spacing, #FBF8F1.
- Title 700 24px #2B211B (sentence case, stating the finding); subtitle 400 15px #7D6F62.
- Row names 700 15px #2B211B with a 12px 400 #7D6F62 detail line under them (region and altitude, "Serra Norte · 1,850 m"); value labels 800 20px #2B211B; legend 600 13px lowercase; tasting notes 400 16px lowercase; the "TASTES LIKE" lead-in 700 11px uppercase with 2.4px letter-spacing in #C4622D; source 12px #7D6F62 and the footer note 600 11px uppercase with 2px letter-spacing.

Layout:
- The label card spans x 48 to 912 and y 26 to 550 with a 30px corner radius. Its top 116px is a solid #C4622D block rounded only at the top corners, holding the kicker at y 68, the big name at y 118, and a small right-aligned note ("NO. 04 · 250 G").
- Inside the card, 40px padding: title, subtitle, and a right-aligned legend of 10px rounded squares (radius 2) on the subtitle line.
- Rows 46px apart: names in a left column 222px wide, bars starting at x 310.
- A 1.2px #2B211B rule near the card foot, then one line of lowercase tasting notes separated by 2px #7D6F62 dots.
- Outside the card, at y 580: source left, footer note right.

Axes and grid:
- No axes, no gridlines, no tick labels. Every bar carries its value, and 1px #E2D8C6 dividers separate rows across the card.

Marks:
- Bar chart: horizontal 24px bars flat on the left and rounded (12px) on the right end, filled by category (teal, terracotta, mustard), sorted largest first, value label 10px after the bar end in Syne 800.
- Line chart: 3.5px lines in the category colors with round caps and joins, straight segments, a 6px solid dot at each end, and the value in Syne 800 20px right after the last point; one light #E2D8C6 baseline. Keep the card, top block, legend and tasting-note foot.

Avoid: gradients, textures, thin hairline bars, drop shadows other than the flat offset, serif type, gridlines, and more than three data colors.

When you're done, render the chart and check that the blend name fits in the top block with room to spare, value labels never run off the card, the mustard category stays readable through its label, and percentages sum as the title claims.
