Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Mesh Gradient" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: the hero section of a modern product marketing site. A soft pastel mesh gradient, a confident two-line headline, and one chart floating in a frosted white card with lots of centered whitespace.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Background: white #FFFFFF under a mesh of large blurred circles: peach #FFC9A8 (top left, r 250), butter #FFEFA6 (top center, r 210), lilac #D4C4FF (top right, r 280 and a smaller 60% one bottom left), mint #BDEFD6 (center, r 200). Blur them with a Gaussian of about 80px, then overlay a vertical white gradient from 0% opacity at 35% height to 100% at 92% so the page fades to white at the bottom.
- Ink: #1E1B4B (deep indigo) for headline and tooltips. Secondary text: #5B5A7A. Line and accents: #4338CA.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Plus Jakarta Sans throughout. Headline 42px 800 with -1.4px letter-spacing, two centered lines about 48px apart. Subtitle 15px 400 #5B5A7A. Axis labels 12px 500; tooltip text 12px 600 white; the growth figure 52px 800 with -2px letter-spacing in #4338CA.

Layout:
- Everything centered. An announcement pill at the top (30px tall, fully rounded, white at 75% with a soft shadow) holding an indigo "New" badge (42 x 20px) and a short label in 12.5px 600.
- Headline below it, subtitle stating measure, unit and period, then the card.
- Card: 96px side margins, 24px radius, white at 66% opacity, 1.5px white stroke, shadow 0 18px 22px at 10% indigo.
- Plot on the left of the card; the growth figure sits to the right of the line's endpoint with two short supporting lines under it (latest value in 14px 700, comparison in 13px 400).
- Source line centered at the bottom in 11.5px 500 #5B5A7A.

Axes and grid:
- No axis lines. Four horizontal gridlines in indigo at 8% opacity (the zero line 22%). Y labels short ("4k"), x labels every month, with the year under the first month of each year in 10.5px 600 at 70% opacity.

Marks:
- Line chart: one smooth (monotone) 3px #4338CA line with round caps. Area fill below it from indigo at 18% opacity through white at 35% to fully transparent at the baseline. Endpoint: a glowing dot (a 14px indigo circle at 55% blurred 8px, under a 7px indigo dot with a 3px white ring). Two or three milestone points as white dots with a 2.5px indigo ring, each with a rounded pill tooltip (28px tall, 14px radius, #1E1B4B fill, soft shadow) placed where it does not cross the line.
- Bar chart: rounded-top columns (10px radius) in #4338CA with a vertical white sheen gradient at 20% on top, the latest bar carrying the glowing dot above it and the growth figure beside it; tooltips as pills above two milestone bars.

Avoid: hard edges in the background, saturated or dark backgrounds, gridlines heavier than the line, left-aligned hero text, and more than one accent color.

When you're done, render the chart and check that the mesh fades cleanly to white behind the source line, no tooltip crosses the line, and the growth multiple equals latest divided by first.
