Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Mempool Cells" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: a friendly, modern mempool visualizer. Each bar is a stack of small rounded cells, like queued transactions waiting their turn, on a soft lavender-gray page with an indigo-to-coral ramp.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Page: #F1F0F7 (lavender gray).
- Ink: #24223A. Secondary text: #6A6785. Faint labels: #9D9AB5. Gridlines: #DAD7E8. Baseline: #8C88A6.
- Sequential ramp from low to high: #3A3FB0 (indigo) to #B04A9C (violet magenta) to #F2765E (coral), interpolated evenly in RGB across the categories (two linear segments meeting at the midpoint).
- Highlight zone behind the qualifying categories: #E4E1F0, radius 8.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Outfit: title 26px 600 with -0.3px letter-spacing stating the finding; subtitle 14.5px 400 #6A6785 that also says what one cell represents; axis title and notes 12.5 to 13px.
- DM Mono for the eyebrow (11.5px 500 uppercase, 1.4px letter-spacing), category labels (12px), value labels (12px 500 above each bar), axis values (11px) and annotation labels (11px 500 uppercase, 0.6px letter-spacing).

Layout:
- 56px side margins. Eyebrow, title, subtitle, then a compact legend strip: a small mono label "FEE RATE, tes/vB" followed by ten 28 x 12 px rounded (2.5px) swatches of the ramp with 2px gaps, "1 (low)" under the first and "100+ (high)" under the last.
- The plot below with about 80px per category.

Axes and grid:
- Three 1px #DAD7E8 gridlines with short mono labels ("5k"); a 1px #8C88A6 baseline. No y-axis line.
- Category labels in mono under each bar; categories past the cutoff in ink, the rest in secondary text.

Marks:
- Bar chart: every bar is a column of cells, each 60px wide and 6px tall with 2px gaps (8px pitch) and 1.8px corner radius, one cell per fixed unit (500 transactions); round values to whole cells. Each bar takes one ramp color by its position. Value label in mono 12px 500, 9px above the top cell.
- Line chart: draw each point as a short vertical stack of the same rounded cells (value divided by the unit) in the ramp color, joined by a 1.5px #24223A line through the top cells, so the cell texture survives.
- A thin dashed cutoff line (1.2px #24223A, dash 4 3) between the categories that make the next block and those that wait, extending 16px above the zone; label it "NEXT-BLOCK CUTOFF, 20 tes/vB" with a second line giving the count and share that fit, and on the left side the number that wait.

Avoid: solid bars without the cell texture, gradients inside a bar, shadows, 3D, dark backgrounds, and a separate legend box.

When you're done, render the chart and check that each bar's cell count matches its value, the cells are evenly spaced with visible gaps, the ramp runs indigo to coral left to right, and the cutoff share in the title matches the data.
