Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Member Renewals" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: a premium membership card on a dark petrol ground. Rounded, friendly geometric type, cool cyan tones, rate chips like card badges.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Canvas: #0E2328 (dark petrol). Card fill: #122D33.
- Series 1 (e.g. new): #22D3EE (bright cyan). Series 2 (e.g. renewals): #A5F3FC (pale aqua). The pair differs mainly in lightness, so always keep the legend and colored value labels.
- Card outline: #22D3EE, 1.5px. Chips: #163A42 fill, 1px #A5F3FC stroke.
- Text: #FFFFFF title, #E6F4F5 labels, #86A6AB secondary. Gridlines: #1C3A40; baseline #3E6269.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Montserrat Alternates 700 for the title (30px, white, stating the finding) and chip numbers (14px).
- Montserrat for everything else: eyebrow 600 12px uppercase with 3px letter-spacing in #A5F3FC; subtitle 400 14px #86A6AB; card number 500 12px with 2px letter-spacing; legend and category labels 600 13px; value labels 600 11px in their series color; axis labels 12px.

Layout:
- The title block sits inside a membership card: a rounded rectangle (rx 18) from x 40 to 920, y 28 to 154. Inside: a 40 x 30px outlined "chip" (rx 5, 1.2px #A5F3FC with a cross-hatch of contact lines) at top left, the eyebrow beside it, a card number at top right, the title at y 116 and the subtitle at y 140.
- Legend at y 196 below the card. Plot from x 104 to 904, y 250 to 510.

Axes and grid:
- Horizontal gridlines 1px #1C3A40 with thousands-separated labels at the left; a 1px #3E6269 baseline. No y axis line. Category labels 24px below the baseline.

Marks:
- Bar chart: grouped pairs of 38px bars with a 4px gap, top corners rounded 5px, series 1 left and series 2 right. Value labels 7px above each bar. A pill chip (60 x 24, fully rounded) centered 50px above the taller bar of each pair, holding the pair's rate.
- Line chart: a 2.5px #22D3EE line and a 2.5px #A5F3FC line with 5px dots, a rate chip above each category between the two points, same card title block.

Avoid: warm colors, gradients, shadows, square corners on the card, a third series color.

When you're done, render the chart and check that chip percentages are computed from the data, chips never touch the value labels, and the two series stay distinguishable at thumbnail size.
