Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Leaderboard" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: the results leaderboard of a research benchmark. Clean, table-like and fair: every entry in neutral slate, the proposed method in one deep violet, with ranks, parameter counts, confidence intervals and a human reference line.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Page: #FFFFFF, with a full-width #EEEAFB (pale lavender) header strip 122px tall behind the eyebrow, title and subtitle.
- Ordinary bars: #8391A5 (slate). The proposed method or the entry to highlight: #5B2BB5 (deep violet), used for its bar, rank circle fill, name, score and a 7% violet row highlight.
- Ink: #151A23. Secondary text: #6B7280. Parameter tag fill: #F1F2F5. Gridlines: #E7E9EE, with the zero line #C5CAD3. CI whiskers: #111111. Human baseline: #2E3440.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Inter for the eyebrow (700, 12px, uppercase, 1.8px letter-spacing, violet), subtitle (15px, #4B5160), column headers (600, 11px, uppercase, 1.2px letter-spacing, #6B7280), model names (500, 14.5px; 700 violet for the highlighted entry), the human baseline label (600 and 400, 12.5px) and the footnote (12.5px, #6B7280).
- Inter Tight for the title (700, 28px, -0.4px letter-spacing, stating the finding), scores (16.5px), rank numbers (600, 11.5px), parameter tags (500, 12px) and tick labels (13px).

Layout:
- 56px side margins. Eyebrow at y 40, title at y 76, subtitle at y 104, all inside the lavender strip.
- Column headers at y 148: "#", "MODEL", "PARAMS" (right-aligned at x 316) and "ACC. %" (right-aligned at x 904).
- One row per entry, 29px tall, sorted by score descending. From left: a rank circle (r 10.5, white with a 1px #C9CDD6 ring; violet filled with a white number for the highlight) at x 60, the model name at x 80, and a parameter-count pill (19px tall, fully rounded, #F1F2F5, #6B7280 text) right-aligned at x 316.
- Bars run from x 330 to 826 for 0 to 100. The score column sits right of the plot: the score right-aligned at x 866 and a small "±CI" in 11.5px #6B7280 right-aligned at x 904.
- A thin #E7E9EE rule and a footnote line under the axis: the evaluation protocol on the left ("Mean over 5 evaluation seeds ... Whiskers: 95% CI. Bold: best. Underline: second best.") and "Source: ..." right-aligned.

Axes and grid:
- Vertical 1px gridlines at 0, 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 in #E7E9EE (the 0 line #C5CAD3), with 13px tick labels below the last row. No y-axis line.

Marks:
- Bar chart: horizontal bars 15px tall with 2px corner radius, slate, the highlighted entry violet. A 1.2px #111111 confidence whisker centered on the bar end with 10px end caps.
- Line chart: slate 2px lines for ordinary series and a 3px violet line for the highlighted one, with 4px dots at each point and CI shown as a 12% opacity band of the line's color; keep rank circles and parameter tags in a direct-label column at the right end of each line.
- The best score is set in weight 800; the second best gets a 1.3px #151A23 underline 9px below its baseline. Other scores are weight 500.
- Reference line: a 1.4px #2E3440 dashed line (5 on, 4 off) at the human baseline, running the full height of the rows, labeled "Human" (600) and "baseline 86.2" on two lines, right-aligned 6px left of the line in an empty area near the short bars.

Avoid: gradients, shadows, multiple accent colors, colored bars for anything but the highlighted method, value labels on the bars themselves, and rounded bar ends larger than 2px.

When you're done, render the chart and check that entries are sorted, the best score is bold and the second best underlined, whiskers are visible at every bar end, the human baseline label does not overlap any bar, and the parameter pills line up on their right edge.
