Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Lead Scans" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: an exhibitor's post-show debrief deck. Clean and sporty: a white card with big rounded corners sitting on exhibit-floor gray, a condensed all-caps headline, day columns under huge pale day numbers, and a tiny floor plan showing where the stand was.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Canvas: #EEEFF1 (exhibit floor gray). Card: #FFFFFF, inset 28px, corner radius 26.
- Series 1: #1F4FD1 (scan cobalt). Series 2: #F28A1E (lead orange).
- Ink: #16181D. Secondary text: #6A707C. Day rules and floor plan strokes: #D3D6DC. Gridlines: #E6E8EC. Big day numbers: #C9CDD6.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Bebas Neue for the title (44px, 0.5px spacing, ink, stating the finding), the big day numbers (58px, "01", "02", "03") and day labels (20px, 1px spacing).
- Barlow for everything else: subtitle 16px 500 #6A707C; legend 14px 600 ink; day stats 13px 500; tick labels 12 to 13px 500; callout 13px 700 in the series color; floor plan labels 9 to 10px uppercase with 1.2px spacing; footer 12px.

Layout:
- Title at x 64, y 94; subtitle at y 124; legend at y 152 (24px rounded 4px line swatch, label 8px after).
- Floor plan thumbnail top-right (x 722, y 52, 174 x 108, radius 8, filled #EEEFF1): a grid of small white booth rectangles (18 x 16, radius 2, 1px #D3D6DC stroke) in two blocks split by an aisle, with our stand filled #F28A1E with a white center dot, "ENTRANCE" and "STAND B17" (orange 700) labels along the bottom and a 3px cobalt entrance bar under "ENTRANCE".
- Plot from x 104 to 892, y 262 to 486. Each period (day) is an equal column with the big pale day number at the column's left and, beside it, the day label with a stats line ("431 scans, 80 leads, 19%").
- Footer inside the card at y 548: "Source: ..." left, a definitions note right.

Axes and grid:
- Columns separated by 2px #D3D6DC vertical rules running from above the day headers to below the tick labels.
- Horizontal 1px #E6E8EC gridlines, a 1.5px ink zero line, y labels right-aligned 12px left of the plot. Time labels every two hours under each column.

Marks:
- Line chart: 3.5px lines with round joins, straight segments, broken at every day rule. Every point gets a 3.5px-radius white dot with a 2px stroke in the series color. Label the overall peak with its value in 13px 700 in the series color, 12px above the point.
- Bar chart: grouped bars, cobalt then orange, 4px top radius, 3px gap inside a group, the same day columns and rules; label only the peak bar.

Avoid: drop shadows, gradients, a second y axis (the rate is printed as text in the day stats), thin corner radii on the card, and dark backgrounds.

When you're done, render the chart and check that the title does not run into the floor plan, day numbers do not collide with the stats text, lines break at each day rule and the printed rates equal leads divided by scans.
