Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Heat Pump Manual" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: a page from an equipment installation and operating manual. Technical, sober and trustworthy: a numbered section header, one precise blue curve, black numbered callouts keyed to a small table, and a safety note.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Page: #FFFFFF, with a 1px #B8BDC4 frame inset 20px from the edges.
- Data curve and the key values in the table: #1F6FB2 (manual blue).
- Callout discs, section number block, axis lines, rules and warning triangle: #111111.
- Table panel: #F2F3F5, row dividers #D5D9DE. Gridlines: #E4E7EB. Secondary text: #5F6670.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Roboto Condensed for the running head (11px 500 uppercase, 1.4px letter-spacing, #5F6670), the section number (20px 700 white, inside a 54 x 34 black block) and section name (26px 700 black, "4.2" then "Performance"), the table title (14px 700), table column heads (12px 700 #5F6670), callout numbers (12 to 13px 700 white), axis titles (13px 500) and the folio (13px 700).
- Roboto for the chart title (21px 500 black, stating the finding), subtitle (14px #5F6670), tick labels (12px #5F6670), table values (14px, tabular figures, the key column 700 blue), notes (13px) and source (11px). Use a true minus sign for negative numbers.

Layout:
- Running head at y 52 with the product and manual name on the left and the language code on the right. Section header block at y 70, a 1.5px black rule across the full text width at y 114, chart title at y 146, subtitle at y 168.
- Chart on the left from x 92 to 604, y 206 to 440. A 272px wide #F2F3F5 table panel at the right (x 640, y 192, 238px tall) listing the callout points: number disc, input value, key value in blue, and a secondary value, with a 1px black rule under the header row and 1px #D5D9DE dividers between rows, plus an 11px note under the table.
- A 1px #B8BDC4 rule above the note area, then a warning triangle (30px wide, white fill, 2px black stroke, round joins, bold "!") followed by "NOTE" in Roboto Condensed 700 13px and two 13px lines of guidance (the second in #5F6670).
- Source at bottom left in 11px, page number bottom right.

Axes and grid:
- Light 1px #E4E7EB gridlines in both directions. A 1px black y axis line and 1px black baseline, 4px black ticks under the x axis. Y labels with one decimal; the y unit label ("COP") in 12px 700 black above the axis; the x axis title right-aligned under the axis end.

Marks:
- Line chart: one smooth (monotone cubic) 2.5px #1F6FB2 curve with round caps, labeled at its end in 13px 700 blue. At each key point, a hollow marker (r 4, white fill, 2px blue stroke) and a 1px black leader running down and to the right to a black numbered disc (r 11) whose number matches the table row. Callouts sit on the clear side of the curve.
- Bar chart: square-cornered #1F6FB2 bars (about 55% of the band) on a black baseline with light gridlines; the key bars get the same black numbered discs on 1px leaders above them, and a second series, if any, is #B8BDC4.

Avoid: color beyond blue, black and grays, shadows, gradients, rounded panels, decorative icons other than the warning triangle, and marketing language.

When you're done, render the chart and check that every numbered callout matches its table row, callouts and leaders never cross the curve or labels, negative numbers use a proper minus sign, and the frame is unbroken.
