Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Goal Windows" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: a club's end-of-season stats card on deep navy: condensed stadium-scoreboard type, a bright for-and-against pair of colors and one highlighted window.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Background: #0E1A2B. Gridlines and rail dividers: #1F2E44. Axis pill stroke: #3A4C66. Phase divider: #34465F.
- Upward series (for, scored): #4CC9F0. Downward series (against, conceded): #F25C54.
- Highlight frame: #F4D35E (1.2px stroke, 5% fill, 4px radius).
- Primary text: #EEF3F8. Secondary text: #8595AA. Source: #5F6F86.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Big Shoulders Text for all display type: eyebrow 15px 700 uppercase with 2.6px letter-spacing in #4CC9F0; headline 40px 800; rail headers 15px 700 uppercase with 2px letter-spacing; rail numerals 50px 800 in the series colors with 12px 600 uppercase captions; value labels 22px 800 in the series color; axis pills 14px 700; series labels 13px 700 uppercase in their colors.
- IBM Plex Sans 400 for the subtitle (15px #8595AA), axis numbers (12px) and the source (12px).

Layout:
- 56px margins. Eyebrow y 50, headline y 96, subtitle y 124.
- Left rail 180px wide (x 56 to 236): per-half totals as big side-by-side numerals (for in sky, against in coral), separated by 1px dividers, then a season line ("42 for, 32 against") and a goal-difference note.
- Plot x 290 to 904 with the zero axis at y 356; upward values scale to y 176 and downward to y 536 on the same scale.

Axes and grid:
- Mirrored 1px gridlines above and below the axis at the same values, numbers left of the plot without signs.
- The zero axis is a 2px #EEF3F8 line with each category label in a pill (60 x 22, fully rounded, background fill, 1px #3A4C66 stroke) centered on it.
- A 1px dashed #34465F divider between the two halves.

Marks:
- Bar chart: mirrored vertical bars, 58px wide, 4px radius on the outer end only, up bars in #4CC9F0 and down bars in #F25C54, value labels just beyond each bar end. The last category is framed from above the tallest bar to below the lowest with a caption ("FINAL 15") above the frame in #F4D35E.
- Line chart: two 3px lines mirrored around the axis (for above, against drawn as negative below) with r 5 dots in the same colors, values beside each dot, the same pill axis and highlight frame.

Avoid: stacking the two series, a legend box (the rail and colored series labels explain it), gradients, glows, thin light fonts, and more than one highlight.

When you're done, render the chart and check that both directions share one scale, half totals add up to the season total, the headline share is right and the frame fully contains its bars and labels.
