Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Funnel Steps" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: a product analytics dashboard on a pale lavender page. Soft white cards, a single violet ramp that fades as users drop out, and one gentle red callout that tells the team where to look first.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Page: #F5F3FC. Cards: #FFFFFF with a 1px #E7E3F5 border.
- Ink: #1C1537. Secondary text: #6E6790. Quiet labels and source: #A39DBF.
- Five-step violet ramp, deepest for the first step: #4B2BB3, #6A4BD0, #8B70E0, #AA97EC, #C8BDF5. For more or fewer steps interpolate between #4B2BB3 and #C8BDF5.
- Hero KPI card: a diagonal gradient from #5A38C9 to #4B2BB3, label text #D9D0FF, value #FFFFFF.
- Biggest drop: #D6455D text and dot on a #FDECEF fill with a 1px #F5C2CB border.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Manrope throughout, tabular figures for all numbers.
- Eyebrow 11.5px 800 uppercase, 1.6px letter-spacing, #6A4BD0. Title 22px 800, -0.5px letter-spacing, #1C1537, stating the finding with the overall conversion rate.
- Hero figure 42px 800, -1.4px letter-spacing. Other KPI values 26px 800, -0.6px letter-spacing; KPI labels 12.5px 600 #6E6790; KPI notes 11.5px 500 #A39DBF.
- Card title 15px 800; card subtitle 12px 500 #6E6790; column headers 11px 700, 0.8px letter-spacing, #A39DBF.
- Step eyebrows ("STEP 1") 9.5px 800, 1.2px letter-spacing, #A39DBF; step names 13.5px 700 #1C1537; counts 15px 800 #1C1537; shares 13px 600 #6E6790; chip values 11.5px 800.

Layout:
- 32px outer margin. Eyebrow and title at top left.
- A row of KPI cards (96px tall, 14px radius, soft shadow 0 1px 2px plus 0 8px 24px of #2A1B6B at 5 to 6% opacity): first the violet hero card with the overall conversion rate, then white cards for the top-of-funnel count, the bottom-of-funnel count and one supporting metric.
- Below, one white funnel card (16px radius, same shadow) with a title and subtitle at top left, and two right-aligned column headers ("Users", "Of signups").
- Inside the card, three columns: step eyebrow and name left-aligned at the card's left padding; the funnel bars centered on a shared vertical axis a little left of center; absolute counts and share of the first step right-aligned in two columns at the right.
- Source line in the card's bottom-left, 11px 500 #A39DBF.

Axes and grid:
- No axes, ticks or gridlines. The centered bars and the numeric columns carry all the scale.

Marks:
- Bar chart: centered horizontal funnel bars, 32px tall with 28px gaps and an 8px corner radius, width proportional to the count (the first step spans about 420px), each step one shade down the violet ramp. In the gap between consecutive bars, a white rounded chip (76 x 22, fully rounded, 1px #E7E3F5 border, 0 1.5px 3px shadow) centered on the funnel axis holds a small down arrow and the step-to-step conversion rate in #4B2BB3. The chip for the worst step-to-step rate switches to the red scheme and a dotted #D6455D connector leads right to a pill: "Biggest drop: 71% stop before paying" with a 3.5px red dot.
- Line chart: plot the share of the first step still present at each step as a 2.5px #4B2BB3 line with straight segments, steps evenly spaced on x, with a 7px dot per step filled with that step's ramp color and a white 2px ring; put the conversion chips between consecutive points and the red callout on the steepest segment.

Avoid: trapezoid or 3D funnel shapes, rainbow colors, gridlines, dark mode, red anywhere except the single biggest drop, and conversion rates that do not recompute from the counts.

When you're done, render the chart and check that every chip equals the next count divided by the previous one, the overall rate equals last over first, exactly one chip is red and it is the smallest rate, and the palest bar is still visible against the white card.
