Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Drop-off" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: a clean podcast analytics card from a modern creator dashboard. Crisp white, one saturated violet, a big headline figure and quiet structural annotations.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Page behind the card: #F1EEF6. Card: #FFFFFF with a 1px #E4E0EE border, 18px radius and a soft shadow (0 6px 10px blur, #2A1B5C at 8%).
- Data: #6D28D9 (violet) for the line, end marker, hero figure, chapter numbers and the app-style play icon.
- Ink: #1C1530. Secondary text: #6B6680. Faint text and chapter rules: #A19CB3.
- Gridlines: #ECEAF1 (the lowest gridline #CFCBDA). Shaded intervals (ad breaks): #EEEDF1.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Plus Jakarta Sans throughout. Hero figure 68px 800 with -2.5px letter-spacing in violet; its label 14px 600 ink and a 13px 500 secondary stat below.
- Title 26px 700 ink with -0.6px letter-spacing, stating the finding; subtitle 15px 500 #6B6680; one-line takeaway 13px 500 #A19CB3.
- Header line 14px 600 ink; legend 13px 500 #6B6680; chapter labels 12px 600 ink with the two-digit number in 11px 700 violet; axis labels 12px 500 #A19CB3; point labels 13px 700.

Layout:
- Card inset 24px from the canvas. Header row at y 54 to 78: a 24px violet rounded-square play icon and the show/episode line on the left, a small legend (gray swatch "Ad break", thin rule "Chapter start") on the right.
- Hero figure top left (baseline y 156) with its label and secondary stat under it; a 1.5px #ECEAF1 vertical divider at x 282; title block to its right starting at x 312.
- Plot from x 104 to 896, top 262, baseline 492. Chapter labels sit 20px above the plot top.

Axes and grid:
- Horizontal 1px #ECEAF1 gridlines with percent labels right-aligned 12px left of the plot. No axis lines. X labels as timestamps (0:00, 6:00, ...) 24px below the baseline, and an axis caption bottom right.

Marks:
- Line chart: one smooth (monotone) 3px violet line, round joins, no fill. End point: 6px white-filled circle with a 3px violet ring and a 13px 700 violet label below it. A key interim point: 4.5px solid violet dot with an ink label above-right.
- Bar chart: violet bars with 6px rounded tops, about 55% of the band, value labels 12px 700 ink above; highlight nothing else, and keep chapter rules and shaded intervals behind the bars.
- Structural annotations: thin 1px #A19CB3 vertical rules at chapter starts rising 30px above the plot, labeled "01 Cold open" style; shaded #EEEDF1 full-height bands for interruptions with the drop inside them in 12px 700 #6B6680 near the baseline.

Avoid: gradients on the line, multiple accent colors, heavy gridlines, dark mode, and a legend for the single data series.

When you're done, render the chart and check that chapter labels never collide, the shaded intervals sit behind the line, and the hero figure and title numbers match the data.
