Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Daily Learners" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: a creator analytics dashboard for an online academy. Fresh pale mint, white rounded tiles, one emerald series, and friendly event tags pinned to the data.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Page: #F0FDF7 (pale mint). Tiles and chips: #FFFFFF with a 1px #D5EFE3 outline.
- Series: #059669 (emerald) line; area fill a vertical gradient of the same emerald from 22% opacity at the top to 2% at the baseline.
- Headings and KPI values: #064E3B (deep green). Secondary text: #5B7A6E. Gridlines: #D5EFE3. Baseline: #A7D7C2.
- Event tags: #0F766E (teal) fill with white text and a #99F6E4 "NEW" kicker.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Poppins 600 for the title (27px, deep green, states the finding) and KPI values (30px).
- Karla for everything else: subtitle 15px 400; KPI labels 13px 700 muted; KPI notes 13px 400 muted right-aligned in the tile; axis labels 13px (500 values, 700 months); tag text 13px 700 white with a 10.5px 800 "NEW" kicker at 1px letter-spacing; source 12px.

Layout:
- Title and subtitle top left (48px margin); a 32px-tall white date-range chip with a small calendar glyph at top right.
- A row of three equal KPI tiles (about 280 x 84, 16px radius, 12px gaps) under the header: label top left, big value bottom left, a short context note bottom right. Color the growth value emerald.
- Chart from about y 236 to a baseline at y 516, 88px left margin. Footer at y 574: source left, a one-line reading note right.

Axes and grid:
- 1px #D5EFE3 horizontal gridlines with abbreviated values ("2k") at the left. No y-axis line. Leave headroom above the highest peak so tags never touch the line.
- x-axis: 6px ticks at month starts with the month name just right of each tick.

Marks:
- Line chart: a smooth monotone curve, 2.4px emerald, with the gradient area underneath. Keep daily detail so the weekly rhythm (weekend dips) stays visible.
- Event tags: a 26px-tall teal rounded rectangle (8px radius) near the top of the plot with "NEW" plus the event name, a 1.2px teal dotted stem (2 on, 3 off) dropping to the data point, and a 5px white dot with a 2.2px teal ring on the line.
- Bar chart: daily bars 2 to 3px wide in emerald at 80% opacity on the mint page (weekly bars can be wider with 3px rounded tops), with the same event tags pinned to the tops of the matching bars and the same KPI tiles above.

Avoid: dark backgrounds, more than one data hue, drop shadows, 3D, heavy borders, and legends (tags and the title explain the series).

When you're done, render the chart and check that the KPI numbers match the data, the tags do not collide with each other or the line, and weekly seasonality is visible.
