Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Conference Talk" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: a slide from a friendly developer conference with a strong visual identity: pale lavender stage, lanyard and badge colors, pill-shaped name tags. Bold, warm and very readable from the middle of the room.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Background: #F1EEFB (pale lavender). Header strip: #2A2140 with white text and #C9C0EA secondary text.
- Segment colors, in category order: tangerine #F28C28, teal #0B8577, violet #6C3CE0, graphite #3B3F4A.
- Ink: #1E1733. Secondary text: #6A6284. Pill borders and column rules: #DDD6F5 and #D6CEF0.
- Labels inside tangerine segments use #1E1733; inside teal, violet and graphite use #FFFFFF.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Plus Jakarta Sans throughout. Title 32px 800 with -0.8px letter-spacing stating the finding. Subtitle 15px 500 #6A6284 with measure and unit. Header strip event name 13px 800 uppercase with 1.6px letter-spacing; session details 12px 600. Track names 15px 700. Segment labels 14px 700. Legend name tags 13px 800. Right-hand summary column 22px 800, header 11px 800 uppercase with 1.4px letter-spacing.

Layout:
- A 40px header strip across the top: two small overlapping 16px rounded squares (violet and tangerine) as a logo, the event name, and right-aligned room, day and time slot.
- 56px side margins. Title at y 96, subtitle at y 126. The legend row of name tags at y 154 to 182.
- One row per category, 66px apart, bars 42px tall. A track badge pill (156 x 32, white fill, 1px #DDD6F5 border, fully rounded) sits at the left with a 5px colored dot and the track name. Bars run from x 236 to 800.
- A summary column right of the bars (after a 1px #D6CEF0 vertical rule at x 820) shows one derived number per row; the largest in violet, others in ink.
- Footer at y 572: source and sample size on the left, track and slide number on the right, 12px #6A6284.

Axes and grid:
- No axes, ticks or gridlines. Every segment carries its own percentage label.

Marks:
- Bar chart: 100% stacked horizontal bars. Each bar is clipped to a fully rounded pill (radius half the bar height) so both outer ends are round and inner joins are square. Separate segments with 3px gaps in the background color. Label each segment wide enough (over 34px) with its value centered inside.
- Line chart: 3px lines in the same four colors with round caps, 7px dots with a 2px #F1EEFB ring at each point, end labels as small filled name-tag pills (7px radius) in the series color with bold white or ink text. Faint 1px #DDD6F5 horizontal gridlines only.
- Legend: filled name tags (28px tall, 7px radius) in each series color, with a small lavender dot and the bold label, in category order.

Avoid: gradients, shadows, thin light type, gridlines on bar charts, a vertical legend, and colors outside the four badge colors.

When you're done, render the chart and check that each stacked bar sums to 100, segment labels have enough contrast, the pill ends are round on both sides, and the summary column values are arithmetically right.
