Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Booth Traffic" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: the backwall graphic of a trade show booth turned into an exhibitor report. Loud, confident and simple: one saturated brand band across the top, a big booth number badge, and a single thick line on a quiet gray panel.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Canvas: #FFFFFF.
- Header band and the data line: #D6246E (backwall magenta). A 6px strip of #1E1E24 at 18% opacity along the band's bottom edge.
- Chart panel: #F1F2F4 (light gray). Open-hours bands inside it: #FFFFFF.
- Ink (badge numeral, day labels, tags, baseline): #1E1E24. Secondary text: #6B6F7A. Gridlines: #DCDEE3.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Montserrat 900 for the title (34px, -0.5px letter-spacing, white, two lines, stating the finding), the booth numeral (54px), day labels (15px, 1px spacing) and the peak value label (20px magenta).
- Nunito Sans for everything else: eyebrow 12px 800 uppercase with 3px letter-spacing, white at 85%; subtitle 16px 600 white at 90%; tick labels 12px 600 #6B6F7A; tag text 10.5px 800 uppercase with 0.8px spacing; footer 12px.

Layout:
- Header band full width from y 0 to 186. Eyebrow at y 44, title lines at y 88 and 128, subtitle at y 160, all left-aligned at x 56.
- Booth badge in the top-right corner of the band: a 166 x 136 white rounded rectangle (radius 14) with "BOOTH" (Nunito Sans 800 14px, 5px spacing, magenta), the booth number in Montserrat 900 54px ink, a 70 x 3 magenta rule, and "HALL C" (11px 700, 3px spacing, #6B6F7A), all centered.
- Panel: #F1F2F4 rectangle from x 40 to 920, y 206 to 536, radius 10. Footer row below at y 566 with a key (white swatch "Hall open 09:00 to 18:00", tag swatch "Main stage keynote") on the left and "Source: ..." right-aligned.

Axes and grid:
- When time spans several days, split the x axis into equal day segments (08:00 to 19:00 each) separated by 1.5px #DCDEE3 vertical rules, with "DAY 1" in Montserrat 900 plus a weekday in 12px Nunito Sans 700 above each segment.
- Open hours (09:00 to 18:00) shaded as #FFFFFF bands on the gray panel, from 12px above the plot top down to the baseline.
- Horizontal 1px #DCDEE3 gridlines at round values, labels right-aligned 12px left of the plot. A 1.5px ink baseline with 5px tick marks and HH:00 labels every three hours.

Marks:
- Line chart: one 5px #D6246E line, straight segments, round joins and caps, broken between days (the hall is closed overnight). No point markers except the peak: an 8px-radius magenta dot with a 3px white ring and the value in Montserrat 900 20px magenta to its right.
- Bar chart: square-cornered #D6246E bars about 60% of the band on the same gray panel with white open-hours bands, the peak bar labeled in Montserrat 900; all other bars unlabeled.
- Event tags (keynotes, launches): a 1.2px magenta dashed stem (3 on, 4 off, 70% opacity) at the event time from the band top to the baseline, topped by a 124 x 24 fully rounded #1E1E24 pill containing a white speaker icon (a small box with a flared cone and two sound arcs) and "KEYNOTE 11:00" in white.

Avoid: gradients, shadows, more than one data color, area fills under the line, dense gridlines, legends for a single series.

When you're done, render the chart and check that the header title clears the booth badge, event pill text stays inside its pill, the line breaks at each day boundary, and the peak label matches the data.
