Chart Prompts

1,337 ways to dress a line or bar chart, 669 light and 668 dark. Open any chart to see it full size and copy a prompt that gives your own chart the same look.

Every chart uses illustrative data. The prompts work with any coding agent and any charting library; they describe colors, type, spacing and marks precisely enough to reproduce each look.

Prompt for your coding agent

Paste it with your chart's code. It restyles your data to match this chart.

Restyle my chart in the "Block Height" style described below. Keep my data, chart type, title meaning and units; change only the presentation. Use the charting library this project already uses (plain SVG if there is none). If the library can't express a detail, draw it in a custom layer instead of dropping it. Measurements assume a 960 x 600 chart; scale them proportionally.

Mood: a clean, cool-white blockchain explorer page. Calm product UI with a slim header, one white card, one cobalt trace and small monospace hashes that make the chart feel like it was read straight off the chain.

Colors (use these exact values):
- Page: #F7F8FA. Header strip and card: #FFFFFF, with 1px #E3E7EE borders.
- Primary ink (title, figures): #1B2540 (slate navy). Secondary text: #5B6478. Faint labels: #8A94A6; source and footer text #A0A9B8.
- Data accent: #2F5BEA (cobalt), used for the line, the epoch markers, the eyebrow and the block number under the headline figure. Area under the line: cobalt fading from 12% to 0% opacity.
- Gridlines #EDF0F4; baseline #C9D0DB.
- Status: #12805C (finalized green) text and check disc on a #E4F5EC pill with a #B9E3CC border. Hash tags: #EEF1F5 fill, #D8DEE7 border, #3A4460 text.

Typography (Google Fonts):
- Sora: eyebrow 11px 600 uppercase with 1.6px letter-spacing in cobalt; title 25px 600 with -0.4px letter-spacing stating the finding; subtitle 13px 400 #5B6478; headline figure 30px 600 right-aligned; date labels 12px; annotation captions 12.5px 600.
- JetBrains Mono for every hash, block number, epoch label and axis value: 11.5 to 12.5px 400.

Layout:
- A 56px white header strip across the top with a 1px bottom border: a 22px rounded cobalt logo square, the network name (Sora 15px 600) and a lighter "Explorer" word; a centered 420 x 30 px search field (#F1F3F7 fill, #DDE2EA border, radius 8) with a drawn magnifier and a mono placeholder "Search by address, tx hash or block" plus a small "/" key hint; a "Mainnet" pill with a green dot at the right.
- Below it one white card (32px page margin, radius 12, faint 2px-offset shadow at 6% opacity). Inside: eyebrow, title and subtitle on the left (28px padding); on the right a "LATEST DAY" label, the latest value in 30px Sora and its block number in cobalt mono.
- The plot fills the card below the header block; footer row with "Source: illustrative data" left and "Updated at block #..." in mono right.

Axes and grid:
- Horizontal 1px #EDF0F4 gridlines at 4 to 5 even values, mono y labels right-aligned 12px left of the plot, with units ("1.50M").
- A #C9D0DB baseline with 5px ticks at each epoch boundary. Date labels (Sora 12px) under the ticks, and under those, centered in each epoch, a mono "EPOCH 412" label in #A7B0BF with 0.6px letter-spacing.

Marks:
- Line chart: a fine 1.6px cobalt stepped trace (step-after, square miter joins), with the faint cobalt area under it. At every epoch boundary put a 7 x 7 px white square with a 1.6px cobalt border sitting on the trace. Additional series: other slate or steel-blue steps at 1.2px, labeled directly.
- Bar chart: slim cobalt columns (about 60% of the band) with 2px top radius on the same grid, the latest bar full cobalt and earlier bars cobalt at 70% opacity; the same 7px square epoch markers on the baseline at epoch boundaries.

Labels and annotation:
- Two annotations, each a dotted #9AA5B8 elbow leader from the data point to a group of: a Sora 12.5px 600 caption above ("Record day, 1.94M"), a rounded gray tag (radius 6, 24px tall) holding a truncated mono hash like "0x3f9a...c21e", and, 8px to its right, an 82 x 24 green "Finalized" pill (radius 12) with a 5px green check disc.

Avoid: dark mode, gradients other than the faint area, thick lines, smoothing the steps, more than one accent color, and crypto clichés like coins, neon or rockets.

When you're done, render the chart and check that the steps are crisp, the epoch squares sit exactly on the trace, hashes and numbers are in the mono font, and the annotation tags do not cover the line.
