Evaluate transfer to naturally occurring professional interactions

Evaluate whether the quantitative findings and memory demands identified by DSV-Mem transfer to naturally occurring professional interactions and deployment settings.

Background

DSV-Mem is a researcher-constructed benchmark comprising synthetic professional workflows, dense artifacts, repeated revisions, authority changes, and analytical queries. Although it isolates and stress-tests memory demands motivated by professional workflows, the authors explicitly caution that its scenarios may not reproduce the full distribution or complexity of real-world use and that the reported quantitative findings may not transfer unchanged to deployment settings.

The unresolved problem is therefore to assess the benchmark's external validity by evaluating model behavior and the identified difficulty factors on naturally occurring professional interactions rather than only on the controlled benchmark scenarios.

Rather, DSV-Mem isolates and stress-tests a set of memory demands motivated by such workflows; evaluating transfer to naturally occurring professional interactions remains future work.
