Determine whether Minni 10 contains a cluster-associated radial-velocity component

Determine whether the Galactic-bulge candidate Minni 10 contains a radial-velocity component associated with a globular cluster by obtaining data or an analysis that yields convergent third-component parameters.

Background

For Minni 10, the disk-and-bulge field-star model did not adequately reproduce the observations, suggesting that an additional component might be present. However, the Markov chain Monte Carlo fitting procedure failed to converge because the available high-quality sample was small after the radial-velocity error cut.

Consequently, the authors did not establish whether Minni 10 is a globular cluster candidate with a genuine cluster-associated component. Better-quality data or alternative tests are needed to resolve the issue.

References

Unfortunately, we were unable to find a set of parameters for the third component because the parameters did not converge to a result.
