Determine the nature of the G(3900) resonance

Determine the physical nature of the G(3900) resonance, whose interpretation remains unsettled despite its identification in the fitted e+e−→D D̄ excitation curves.

Background

The seven-resonance fit identifies resonance #3 at M₃=(3897±13) MeV with width Γ₃=(149±16) MeV and associates it with the G(3900) resonance. The fitted parameters are compatible with values from a recent global coupled-channel analysis, but the paper notes that the physical nature of G(3900) remains debated. Consequently, establishing whether it is a conventional charmonium state, a dynamically generated structure, or another type of hadronic resonance remains unresolved.

References

The resonance #3 with $M_3=(3897\pm13)$~MeV and $\Gamma_3=(149\pm16)$~MeV corresponds to the $G(3900)$ resonance, the nature of which is still debated.
