Resolve the discrepancy in the ψ(3.82) S–D admixtures

Determine whether the reproduced Godfrey–Isgur calculation or the admixture values printed in the original ψ(3.82) caption correctly describes the 2S- and 3S-wave components of the predominantly 2S light vector meson.

Background

The reproduction agrees with the printed 1D admixture magnitude for the ψ(3.82) state but obtains smaller 2S and 3S admixtures than those shown in the original caption. The discrepancy cannot be resolved by comparison with later Godfrey–Isgur calculations because no later value is available for this particular state.

The issue concerns wavefunction composition rather than the spectrum alone: the reproduced energies and the 1S admixture agree in magnitude, while the higher radial admixtures remain discrepant. The paper identifies this as the unresolved item in the reproduced spectrum.

No later GI-model value is available to decide between the calculation and the caption here; this is the one open item in the spectrum.
