Reliable identification and interpretation of changes in MT-InSAR time series

Determine how changes in MT-InSAR-derived displacement time series can be reliably identified and interpreted for infrastructure monitoring, in order to mitigate the limitation caused by relative temporal referencing.

Background

MT-InSAR displacement time series are referenced to the first satellite acquisition and therefore do not record deformation that occurred before the observation period. The paper identifies detecting changes in the displacement time series as a possible way to mitigate this limitation, but states that the reliable identification and interpretation of such changes for infrastructure monitoring has not yet been adequately investigated.

References

Detecting changes in MT-InSAR-derived displacement time series could be a potential approach to mitigate this limitation. However, how such changes can be reliably identified and interpreted for infrastructure monitoring remains insufficiently investigated.
