Optimality of LCHS guarantees for physical oscillator realizations

Establish whether the optimality guarantees of linear-combination-of-Hamiltonian-simulation algorithms apply to physical realizations of the non-Markovian coupled oscillator systems considered here.

Background

The paper uses LCHS to simulate non-Hermitian oscillator generators and invokes its asymptotic query optimality with respect to the Hamiltonian and dissipator. However, the authors distinguish abstract oracle-query optimality from optimality for concrete physical implementations, where oracle construction, parameter access, material structure, and circuit overhead may alter the achievable performance.

Furthermore, it is not known if the optimality guarantees of \ac{LCHS} translate to our specific application, specifically in the context of real-world realizations.
