Remaining challenges include automatic boundary detection for stage-aware switching, scalable optimization for high-dimensional mixing, extension to turbulent and transitional regimes, and the development of continuous rather than discrete blending protocols in both physics-based and neural domains. The evidence across disciplines suggests substantial potential for further generalization and cross-fertilization of FlowBlending concepts throughout computational science and engineering.
