The cosmological constant and Higgs mass with emergent gauge symmetries
Published 11 Apr 2020 in hep-ph, astro-ph.CO, and gr-qc | (2004.05489v1)
Abstract: We discuss the Higgs mass and cosmological constant in the context of an emergent Standard Model, where the gauge symmetries "dissolve" in the extreme ultraviolet. In this scenario the cosmological constant scale is suppressed by power of the large scale of emergence and expected to be of similar size to neutrino masses. Cosmology constraints then give an anthropic upper bound on the Higgs mass.
