Application of Zeeman spatial beam-splitting in polarized neutron reflectometry

Published 27 Jan 2017 in cond-mat.mtrl-sci | (1701.08199v1)

Abstract: Neutron Zeeman spatial beam-splitting is considered at reflection from magnetically noncollinear films. Two applications of Zeeman beam-splitting phenomenon in polarized neutron reflectometry are discussed. One is the construction of polarizing devices with high polarizing efficiency. Another one is the investigations of magnetically noncollinear films with low spin-flip probability. Experimental results are presented for illustration.
