Measurement of the polarization observables I^s and I^c in the reaction γp -> p π^0 π^0 with the CBELSA/TAPS experiment

Published 26 Aug 2011 in nucl-ex | (1108.5283v1)

Abstract: To unambiguously identify baryon resonances the measurement of polarization observables is of great importance. With the CBELSA/TAPS experiment, located at the ELSA accelerator facility in Bonn, polarization observables have been determined. Using a linearly polarized photon beam impinging on a liquid hydrogen target, the polarization observables Is and Ic for the reaction \gamma p -> p \pi0 \pi0 have been determined for the first time.
