Open-ended generation and catalog transfer for SemPOI-RL

Develop open-ended destination POI sequence generation and catalog transfer for SemPOI-RL beyond the constrained benchmark setting with known start and end POIs, trajectory length, and fixed destination catalogs, including evaluation in unseen cities.

Background

SemPOI-RL is evaluated under a constrained setting in which the start and end POIs, trajectory length, and destination catalog are known. The recommender is not evaluated zero-shot on a completely new city catalog. The paper explicitly identifies extending the framework to open-ended generation and transferring it across catalogs as unresolved future work.

Second, we follow the constrained benchmark setting with known start/end POIs and trajectory length, and the recommender is trained on fixed destination catalogs rather than evaluated zero-shot in unseen cities. Open-ended generation and catalog transfer remain future work.
