Quantify limits of dimensionality reduction with coupled long-time degrees of freedom
Ascertain the conditions and extent to which the effective one-dimensional reduction remains valid for chemical reaction networks when more than one degree of freedom is effectively operative in the long-time dynamics; determine how far dimensionality can be reduced without compromising fidelity when degrees of freedom are coupled.

Additionally, our method is most useful in scenarios in which only one degree of freedom is effectively operating in the long-time behavior, so it is not yet clear to what degree we can freely reduce the dimensionality in cases with coupled degrees of freedom.
This network (Fig.~\ref{fig:CRN}) represents a simplification of the CRN previously identified as the smallest CRN featuring a Hopf bifurcation, and we do not exclude that further simplification might be possible.
