Background

Musical Metaverse environments support real-time creation, transformation, collaboration, recording, and distribution of artistic content across heterogeneous platforms. The paper highlights risks involving unauthorized recording, copying, redistribution, fraudulent attribution, loss of provenance, and the disappearance of rights metadata when content moves between systems. Interoperable enforcement of intellectual-property rights across platforms is consequently identified as an unresolved challenge.
