Develop a many-baryon description with quantized isospin

Develop a full many-baryon description of isospin-asymmetric matter in the Witten–Sakai–Sugimoto model that incorporates the quantized neutron and proton states generated by instanton moduli-space quantization.

Background

The review explains that quantizing a single holographic instanton produces separate neutron and proton states, but the many-baryon calculations currently use a classical, continuous isospin spectrum. This leads to artifacts such as isospin asymmetry being represented by populating heavier classical states rather than changing the relative neutron and proton populations.

A many-baryon framework incorporating the quantized isospin spectrum would be needed for a more realistic treatment of symmetry energy, isospin-asymmetric nuclear matter, and neutron-star composition.

A full-fledged many-baryon description including this quantization is difficult and has not yet been developed in the WSS model.
