Determine the causes of non-reproducible Chromium failures

Determine whether the four non-reproducible issues triggered during Lantern’s WebGPU testing campaign result from race conditions or other nondeterministic browser behavior, and establish the conditions required to reproduce them.

Background

Lantern triggered seven issues while executing specification-guided mutations of WebGPU Conformance Test Suite tests on Chromium versions 133 and 146. Three issues were reproducible, whereas four could not be reproduced. The paper reports that the non-reproducible failures may involve race conditions or other nondeterministic behavior, leaving their causes and reproducibility unresolved.
