Communication Protocols for Advanced AI Agents and Digital Systems
Determine and specify secure, interoperable communication mechanisms and protocols by which advanced AI agents will interact with one another and with non-AI digital systems, enabling governable, privacy-preserving, and safe coordination in multi-agent environments.

At the time of writing, it remains unclear how advanced AI agents will communicate with one another and with the vast network of other non-AI digital systems with which they will be integrated, though there have very recently begun to be some proposals in this direction.
Several directions remain open for future investigation. A2A Simulation Framework. To our knowledge, no dedicated framework exists for simulating multi-agent A2A deployments at scale. A systematic simulation framework would enable reproducible security testing across the full protocol lifecycle, support automated fuzzing of A2A message flows, and allow researchers to evaluate mitigations under controlled conditions. Building such a framework is a natural and necessary next step for the community.
