Coding agents for dexterous multi-fingered hands

Determine whether, and to what extent, coding agents can control dexterous robotic hands with more fingers and joints, and establish methods to guide and train coding agents for such embodiments.

Background

EmbodiedSWE-Bench evaluates several robotic embodiments, including single-arm, bimanual, and humanoid systems, but does not cover highly dexterous hands with larger numbers of fingers and joints. The paper explicitly identifies the ability of coding agents to control these embodiments, together with effective guidance and training procedures, as unresolved.

References

Whether and to what extent coding agents can control such embodiments, and how to guide and train them to do so, remains an open research problem.
