Characterize convective and kinematic environments of severe weather in Visayas and Mindanao
Characterize the convective instability and vertical wind shear (kinematic) environments associated with severe weather occurrence in Western and Central Visayas and in BARMM and Region XII in Mindanao, going beyond general rainfall and temperature climate classifications to identify the mesoscale conditions favoring tornadoes and waterspouts.

The environments in these locations were generally comprised in accordance to the Philippine Climate Types developed by Coronas (1920) and Kintanar (1984), but the convective and kinematic setup of these remains to be studied.
