Determine the best incorporation method for realistic active regions

Determine the best method for incorporating realistic active regions into full magnetohydrodynamic models of the solar atmosphere.

Background

The paper compares magnetic-field driving and electric-field driving as methods for incorporating evolving surface data into solar magnetohydrodynamic simulations. Although the reported experiments favor electric-field driving for the configurations tested, the broader problem of identifying the most reliable method for incorporating realistic active regions into full-MHD models remains unresolved because the comparison is limited to particular numerical schemes, boundary treatments, and synthetic data sets.
