Assess generalization across additional decision-oriented models

Determine whether quality–latency patterns similar to those observed for Jev emerge for additional decision-oriented models when applied to personalized recommendation reranking.

Background

The empirical evaluation considers only one decision-oriented model, Jev. Although Jev performs strongly relative to the evaluated baselines, the paper explicitly cautions that these results should not be generalized to decision-oriented models as a broader class.

The unresolved issue is whether other decision-oriented models will reproduce Jev’s combination of recommendation effectiveness and comparatively gradual latency growth. Addressing this requires evaluating additional models as they become available.

References

Future work should examine whether similar quality--latency patterns emerge as additional models become available.
