Validate the generalizability of the change point–aware evaluation and targeted re-calibration framework for PPG-based blood-pressure estimation in ambulatory and wearable monitoring contexts.

Background

The experiments use PulseDB data collected in intensive-care-unit and operating-room environments. These settings differ substantially from ambulatory and wearable-monitoring scenarios in signal quality, patient activity, sensor placement, physiological dynamics, and availability of reference measurements. The paper therefore leaves unresolved whether the reported fluctuation-aware evaluation and re-calibration results transfer to those broader deployment contexts.
