Standards-ready threat-analysis artifacts for thermal telemetry

Construct checklist templates that map thermal-channel inventories onto ISO 26262 freedom-from-interference analysis and ISO/SAE 21434 threat analysis and risk assessment, with residual-risk language tied to thermal-event-interrupt and DVFS liveness.

Background

The paper argues that readable thermal, power, frequency, and interrupt interfaces should be treated as potential QM-to-ASIL exfiltration paths in mixed-criticality autonomous-vehicle systems. However, existing OEM threat analyses rarely enumerate these interfaces as assets or describe their residual risk in standards-oriented terms. The proposed research would produce reusable artifacts connecting interface inventories, freedom-from-interference analysis, and cybersecurity TARA.
