Existence of IR SCFT for SO(N) with one symmetric and one antisymmetric tensor plus Nf vectors

Prove that the four-dimensional N=1 SO(N) gauge theory with one rank-2 traceless symmetric tensor S, one rank-2 antisymmetric tensor A, and Nf vector (fundamental) chiral multiplets Q (with superpotential W=0) flows to an interacting superconformal field theory in the infrared for all integers N and Nf satisfying 0 \le Nf \le N−6.

Background

This SO(N) Type II theory combines symmetric and antisymmetric tensors. The authors report consistent a-maximization and unitary central charges across the indicated range, leading to the conjecture of an interacting IR SCFT.

At Nf=N−6, the one-loop beta function vanishes and a conformal manifold exists.

References

We therefore conjecture that this theory flows to an interacting SCFT for $0\leq N_f\leq N-6$.
