Cross-lingual transfer of the recovered head set

Determine whether the SIAB head set recovered from English emotion-recognition benchmarks transfers across languages, and whether multilingual evaluation produces language-specific emotion-recognition circuits.

Background

The experiments use only the English-language ECC and GoEmotions benchmarks. The authors therefore leave unresolved whether the same internally localized heads can support affective-state reasoning across languages or whether multilingual models would rely on distinct, language-specific circuits.

References

Whether the recovered head set transfers across languages, or whether language-specific recognition circuits would emerge under multilingual evaluation, is untested.
