Sensitivity to Candidate-Bank Size and Temporal-Pooling Granularity

Investigate the sensitivity of Reliability-Aware Future Conditioning to the size of its local temporal candidate bank and to the granularity of temporal pooling beyond the fixed choices of candidate offsets \(\mathcal{S}=\{-2,0,+2\}\) and four temporal bins.

Background

Reliability-Aware Future Conditioning uses a fixed local candidate bank consisting of temporal offsets {−2,0,+2}\{-2,0,+2\} and compresses each 16-frame future into four temporal bins. The paper acknowledges that these design choices may affect robustness to temporal misalignment but does not evaluate their sensitivity. Determining how candidate-bank size and pooling granularity influence performance is therefore left unresolved.

References

We fix the local candidate bank to $\mathcal S={-2,0,+2}$ and temporal pooling to $B=4$; sensitivity to candidate-bank size and pooling granularity remains for future study.
