Background

CGM-Rec adapts during inference through quality-gated typed edits to its Semantic Graph Memory, while model parameters remain frozen. The quality gate determines whether analyzer-generated proposals are accepted based on signals such as support, confidence, conflict, recency, and memory cost, and typed operations apply fixed update magnitudes for reinforcement, suppression, tentative-edge creation, promotion, and pruning. Although the paper reports a sensitivity analysis showing robustness to moderate perturbations of selected gate parameters, it does not examine a broader range of gate designs or systematically vary the magnitudes associated with typed updates. Determining how these choices affect recommendation quality, memory stability, noise propagation, and adaptation under drift remains unresolved.
